Our Heavy Equipment Operators play a critical role in site development by safely and efficiently operating bulldozers, excavators, payloaders, and more to meet project goals. We’re looking for experienced professionals with a strong commitment to safety, maintenance, and productivity in all working conditions.
Proficiently operate any or all pieces of core heavy equipment, including bulldozers, payloaders, excavators, articulated trucks, and rock crushers.
Comply with operations and maintenance guidelines for all heavy equipment.
Perform a daily heavy equipment walk-around inspection and other preventive maintenance responsibilities.
Perform job responsibilities safely in a busy, sometimes stressful environment.
Operate equipment productively, year-round in all types of local weather and ground conditions.
Perform tasks that have to do with site development/heavy equipment operations as assigned or directed by the Supervisor or General Manager.
Requirements:
7+ years of experience running heavy equipment. 80% to 100% of that time should fall during your employment in a site development capacity.
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently, according to relevant legislation, policies, and procedures of the company.
Valid driver’s license.
Communication skills and ability to follow directions.
Must have your own transportation.
Must be able to perform daily safety and maintenance checks to equipment. Participate in routine maintenance, keep equipment clean and ensure that it is securely stored.
Willingness to submit to (and ability to pass) a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
Ability to provide documentation that you are a citizen of the US or otherwise have clearance to work in the US and the state of Connecticut.
