Scope of Work

The Sweeney team blasted rock for site and utility construction. We also handled tree removal, clearing, and fine grading to prepare the site for construction.

Once the site met our standard, we began installing utilities. We also started the construction of all new roadways, basins, and stormwater management swales.

This ongoing project is slated for completion in July of 2025.

Unique Challenges

This site spans 30 acres, and most of it is solid rock. That makes blasting accurately for proposed grades, building basements, and serious utilities installation a lot harder.

At the same time, we’ve found that this rock is a strength — it’s high quality and perfect for our needs. We’re using it to manufacture all aggregates needed for construction, including pipe bedding, sand, road base, and backfill for modular block walls.

Speaking of which: this job also involves extensive retaining wall construction, which calls for over 40,000 square feet of modular block construction.

We’re excited to see the final result, and we hope you are, too.
